bleed port bolt, fill reservoir with fluid and let it plop-plop out until it turns to a steady stream. Close up port then do a final bleed at the slave a time or two -- having a helper up top while you are down below is good too.
Let things sit for maybe 30 mins or so - then start doing the bleed from the top engine bay bleed point. It takes a while for all the bubbles to get up there -- so give yourself some time. I even found a day later I still had a few small bubbles left.
Speed bleeder valves can help too if doing by yourself -- just re-check after installation, sometimes they can leak over time.
